Lucknow and Varanasi have been shortlisted in the Smart Cities challenge by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs.
We hereby invite citizens to come forward and share their opinions about the issues and bottlenecks plaguing the city and suggest their vision along with innovative, sustainable and SMART solutions with regard to the following Area-Based Strategies:

• Retrofitting (Planning and improvement of infrastructure in an existing built-up area).
• Redevelopment (Replacement of existing built-up area and co-creation of new layout with enhanced infrastructure).
• Greenfield Development (planning and development in new areas)

Lucknow and Varanasi Municipal Corporation are looking forward to the valuable suggestions and continued support of citizens in this endeavor.

1-Waste material management program और बड़े स्केल पर चलाने चाहिए।
2-Drainage system सही से लागू हो ये सुनिश्चित होना चाहिए
3-illegal colonies पर विशेष focus होना चाहिए जिससे अवैध colony न बन सके।

A Dam should be built on Gomti River, to prevent any future hazardous flooding situation in the entire city, in these unpredictable times. City should always be foolproof at the time of flood situation.
and a separate and new drainage system should be developed for the entire City to curb menace of water-borne diseases & sanitation problems.

Strict vigilance on public transportation is needed, as they do overloading of 20 people sitting & standing in a tempo where only 7-8 people can sit.All this is happening in front of Police stations & they don't take any action,public becomes hopeless.Overloading has caused severe accidents many times.
On one hand,police harasses public if 3 people sit on 2-wheeler & we pay huge challan,on other hand overloading on public vehicles is ignored by police. Govt. should do vigilance on Police also

IT infrastructure is foremost for any Smart City. Safety of women and public comes first, then only a city can be called Smart. DRONES should be used for extensive surveillance-area wise, not only on main roads but also in entire city. Surveillance team should be setup to monitor areas assigned & inform nearby Police Station immediately. Crimes on roads like terrorism, theft, riots, violence, chain snatching, murder,eve teasing etc. all will be stopped, & crime rate in U.P. will shrink immensely

Smart city के Concept को बढ़ावा देने के लिए सबसे पहले infrastructure को devlop किया जाये जैसे drainage system, cctv, computer based activity साथ ही साथ जो कंपनी काम कर रही है उनकी time taken accountbility तय की जाये।
