Solid Waste Management is all about how solid waste can be changed and used as a valuable resource i.e. ‘waste to wealth’. Due to the large number of Urban Local Bodies and population waste generation is high. This waste can be converted into wealth in the form of compost and energy. The state also has a good number of STPs, so sludge can also be utilized easily.

Apart from this, the citizens have a very important role to play in solid waste management as well.

रिहाइशी इलाकों के बीच में डलाव घर बनाना सेहत और भू-जल दोनों के लिए नुकसानदेह है. गाजियाबाद के राजनगर एक्सटेंशन में गाजियाबाद नगर निगम ने दो डलाव घर बना दिए हैं. ये हिंडन एयरबेस से सिर्फ़ 6 किलोमीटर दूर हैं जो हिंडन एयरबेस से परिचालित होने वाले विमानों के लिए भी खतरनाक हैं. कृपया इन डलाव घरों को बंद कराने का निर्देश दें.

First and foremost all dump yards should be moved outside of city. Kanpur has huge problem of old dump yards located inside city. It not only pollutes the area but also is major contributor of diseases. A2Z is responsible for end to end solid waste management but they are not doing their work properly. They dump the waste in these dump yard in order to save petrol. Its a shame that kanpur ranks 2nd in global ranking on most polluted cities in the world and govt turns blind eye towards this issue

उत्तर प्रदेश में 'सॉलिड वेस्ट मैनेजमेंट को स्वास्थ एवं ऑर्गेनिक फार्मिंग' (जैविक खेती) से जोड़कर किसानों के लिए 24 घंटे सातों दिन खेतों पर रहने के लिए सुरक्षित व सुविधाओं युक्त घरों के निर्माण की योजना बनानी होगी

I have made a complaint on the Lucknow-One app that waste collection is not being done in my area, i.e no vehicle comes to pick up the garbage bags from our homes, we are forced to throw this garbage on the side of the road viz converted like a dump yard. There has been no response to this nobody has acted on it.
