हमारे घरों, फैक्ट्रियों और शहरों से प्रतिदिन निकलने वाला कचरा आज दुनिया की सबसे बड़ी समस्याओं में से एक है जिसके लिए ‘सॉलिड वेस्ट मैनेजमेंट’ अत्यंत आवश्यक है।
‘सॉलिड वेस्ट मैनेजमेंट’ का अर्थ है कि कैसे ठोस अपशिष्ट को बदलकर उसे उपयोगी वास्तु में परिवर्तित कर एक मूल्यवान संसाधन के रूप में दुबारा उपयोग किया जा सके।

प्रत्येक ग्राम सभाओं में सॉलिड वेस्ट मटेरियल के कलेक्शन के लिए सेंटर होना चाहिए जहां पर उचित मूल्य प्राप्त किया जा सके।

I heard about Singapore. They had an island where they burn their waste and the island is also very clean. We should send our delegates to see how they manage each type of waste. They produce electricity by burning these waste. Nagar Nigam and Power Corporation should collaborate to utilise this waste.
